Fort Dodge Chapter IAAP

History of IAAP

The International Association of Administrative Professionals was founded in 1942. It is the world's largest professional association for office professionals, secretaries, and executive assistants. IAAP strives to support these professionals in efforts towards educational and professional achievements and career growth. There are over 700 chapters and 40,000 members and affiliates located throughout the world.

Fort Dodge Chapter was chartered in September 1970 and currently has 31 members. We are in the Iowa-Nebraska Division of which there are 15 chapters and in the Northwest District encompassing the following states (divisions): Colorado-Wyoming-Montana Division, Iowa-Nebraska Division, Minnesota-North Dakota-South Dakota Division, Idaho-Oregon-Utah Division, Washington-Alaska Division.

We invite various speakers on topics of interest- workplace safety, health/education, office technology skills and financial success. Our monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. All Board meetings are open to members to attend.
