Subject: Town Meeting: Making College More Accessible
Dear Loop members:
I hope most of you get this subscriber email- this one is particularly
interesting- the promise of 'continuing' education. Those who are familiar
with the German Model of tracking and educating students can apply this move
to that.
Some of you may remember my comments a few months ago about Bill Daggett-
who is touring the country with his STW theories and being welcomed as a
guest speak by every administration. Daggett bases his 'theory' on the
German Model (see Joan's recent post about the failed german model)
When I first saw the header on this post- I was curious- is college not
accessible? All the years I was growing up- the disadvantaged and
especially the minority students always had that leg up on college funding-
my parents made a few dollars too much to get that help. I wonder- has that
changed?
