TO ALL LOOPIES: FOLLOW UP URGENT ALERT!

Washington Times, National Weekly Edition, Feb. 9th -- A must-read, MUST-CIRCULATE INFO FROM(!) article -particularly in light of (1) Clinton's expensive tour through the states "promoting" his "education" plans, (2) the release of the Federal budget, (3) the concerns about the Medicaid funds drying up, (4) the promotion of School-Community LINKS-- a whole NEW meaning to that term; (5) State and Local initiatives which tie to this massive Master Plan.

Article is titled: "Covert health reform through schools?"

Heads up quotes from the article, not in order of appearance: "Presently, school officials across the country are using Medicaid as a cash cow, which is one reason why federal Medicaid costs have nearly tripled over the last seven years. A Medicaid consultant with the Illinois State Board of Education wrote with satisfaction in a recent letter to a school superintendent that under Medicaid, "The potential for dollars is limitless." [Note: A Jan. 22 Phyllis Schlafly column has been mentioned elsewhere, regarding this.]

"The Clinton administration appears to be implementing an undisclosed plan to build a structure for socialized health care -- in effect using education reform as a Trojan horse to construct a new health care system. Under the plan public schools could be transformed into quasi-hospitals, with Medicaid as a funding source." [Pennsylvania, now in the midst of documenting its state's disastrous involvement in what could be termed "pilot projects" for this, obtained "partial hospital provider" status via school administrators in order to carry out the programs.]

"Education Secretary William Riley, as co-chair of the BellSouth Foundation's 1990 advisory committee on school reform, wrote in the foundation's report 'Fulfilling Reform's promise:' 'Education reform must address the host of human needs that allow children to benefit from schooling. . . Education, then, takes on new meaning -- one that encompasses the total physical and emotional, as well as intellectual development of the children." [Note: take special note of the order of objectives in that statement. Refer also to my post yesterday about Human Development as a school subject in one of our local schools, with 10th graders set to study child psychology and development."]

"Already, many schools are teaching an explicit sex education curriculum that strikes at the heart of parental responsibility. Other programs under development include PERSONALITY SCREENING AND MENTAL HEALTH TESTING, A DATA-BASE REGISTRY THAT TRACKS STUDENTS THROUGH SCHOOL, INSTRUCTION IN SEXUAL DIVERSITY, DRUG THERAPY TO MODIFY BEHAVIOR, AND SOCIAL-WORKER CASE MANAGEMENT [all emphasis added] along with whatever is thought to be needed to construct the 'bridge to the 21st Century.'"

According to this block-buster, full-page commentary by Lawrence Criner, when the Dept. of Ed. officials were "in the process of removing barriers to widespread implementation" of this horrendous and heretofore unpublicized takeover plan, there was a seminar at which a "blacklist" was distributed to federal grantees contracted with to provide comprehensive services to the schools. "Reportedly, those gathered were told not to allow anyone identified with a number of prominent conservative organizations .....[listed]) to become involved in their projects."

Do not miss this opportunity to alert (1) all parents (who are targeted to lose oversight of their children's "physical, emotional and emotional" education); (2) legislators at all levels of government; (3) taxpayers, who will be financing this wonderful new "free" education for their children, at federal, state and local taxing levels.

All the ballyhooed "help for education" (tutors, mentors, tax breaks, free college, teacher training, etc.) are intended for one reason only -- and it is NOT education! Sugar-coated diversions and sales pitches!

Remember, Secretary Riley is one of the few "holdovers" in the current administration. Along with Donna Shalala. Education/Health and Human Services. . .

Read again yesterday's post about Hollywood's sudden emergence as the selling scheme for plans the public doesn't even comprehend. Read again the plans for six governors to jump over public process and "recommend" what has already been long-determined behind-the-scenes.

Read again Secretary Riley's comments when Goals 2000 was signed: "In order to reform education it will be necessary to change all of American society."

Riley, Shalala, Clintons, Magaziner, Tucker, Children's Defense Treaty, Socialized Medicine, Budgets that will never cover all that is envisioned as being free.... A public that doesn't have any more than a few weeks to argue details in classrooms and philosophies of teaching is going to be sidelined-- deliberately, just as the "conservative" organizations were kept from organizational meetings nearly four years ago as nails were being driven into American education and the American way of life.

GET THAT ARTICLE, AND THE SCHLAFLY ARTICLE (Jan. 22) AND MOBILIZE OPPOSITION TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS TAKEOVER.
