Our program
was established in 1989 by a grant from the Iowa Department of
Education to serve at-risk children and their families in our
community through a comprehensive program including education,
family involvement, health and dental services and nutritional
services. We utilize many philosophies of early childhood education
including the Reggio Emilia approach which stresses project work
and documentation of the child learning through conversations
and discoveries. We are also connected with the Iowa Early Childhood Papert Partnership researching and implementing technology and constructionism in the early childhood learning environment.
