Home sweet home
Life in the country is hard to beat. There are so many things to keep you entertained. (say busy) On this page I want to share some of our photos from our place, our piece of the good life.
We live in Iowa, that is in the central United States. As you can see in the photo, if you look close, it is fairly flat land and you can see for miles. It is a primarily agricultural state. Some of the primary products are corn, soybeans, hogs, and cattle.
Our tempratures range from highs of around 100 degrees in the middle of summer to around 30 degrees below zero in the winter. That is a little to hot and a little to cold for me but most of the time it is comfortable in the middle.
One of my favorite things in the spring and summer is to sit out on the porch on a warm night and listen to the thunderstorms roll off in the distance. There are no other sounds and it is quite peaceful.
Babies on the farm are fun.
Brandy is shown above with one of her colts. She is a Quarterhorse. And look what she did this year!!
Below are some of our other colts. They are Pintos. They look like a Paint but are Arabians instead of Quarterhorses.
There are lots of critters to take care of and enjoy.
We enjoy riding horses. Our Mini page will introduce you to the miniature horses that we have.
Sometimes you might think that the place has gone to the birds!..........
......or the dogs.
But that is the way we like it.
