The Fusion worship experience is offered every Wednesday at 1107 Market St. in Gowrie at 7:30 PM. People are encouraged to come early, converse, and share their fellowship with others who are sharing in the worship experience that evening.
Fusion is a contemporary style worship experience meant to offer people a different way to connect with God, a different perspective of how worship can be expressed, and a more active experience than traditional worship offers. Fusion includes many visual signs combined with upbeat music to tell the Word of God that is the Good News, Christ Jesus, in a new and dynamic way. The atmosphere is extremely laid back, allowing people to come and participate in their daily clothes, to eat and drink, and to sit in more comfortable furniture like couches. This atmosphere has not been created to distract people from God, but rather to help the people more easily make the connection of worshipping God during a church experience and worshipping God in their daily lives. Moreover, a laid back atmosphere offers the chance for some gifts of the Spirit to be shared more readily, like the gift of holy humor. If anyone feels that they are unable to participate in certain parts of the atmosphere created at Fusion without being distracted from worshipping God, then they are encouraged to follow their spirit and abstain. Many people may feel that Fusion is directed at youth, when in fact Fusion is an experience directed at anyone who feels called to participate in it, including people who do not belong to the Countryside Cooperative Ministry. All are welcome at Fusion, as they are at any event of the Countryside Cooperative Ministry.
